OUR BACKGROUND
Elmhurst cemetery was established in 1908 and has been family owned and operated ever since. The cemetery consists of 90 acres of beautiful rolling hills with hundreds of trees of all different species. The owners have prided themselves on keeping meticulous records, being good stewards of the land and treating each family we serve with respect and compassion.
Central to the mission of the cemetery is to offer each family a comfortable environment and a variety of burial options at different prices. To that end, numerous improvements have been made at the cemetery over the last 12 months. The office has been remodeled, new equipment has been purchased, the chapel has been remodeled and a new columbarium installed for cremated remains. CREMATION
Cremation Graves & Niches
If cremation is your preference, you have the option of burying the ashes in a special cremation grave or placing the ashes above ground in a space (called a niche) in our new columbarium. When you visit the cemetery, we would be happy to show you each one so you can make the best choice for your particular situation.
HEADSTONES & ENGRAVING
A Personalized Tribute
Headstones are available for purchase through the cemetery office. Different sections in the cemetery allow for different types of memorials. Options include upright monuments for 2 to 8 graves or flat granite or bronze markers for 1 to 2 graves. Stop in the cemetery office when you are ready to make your headstone selection.
If there is already a headstone on the grave and you simply need the final date inscribed, we can assist with that as well. Just call or stop in at the office and we will get it taken care of.
BURIAL PACKAGES
Convenient and Cost Effective
If you prefer the convenience of working with one person for everything from the burial service to the headstone, a burial package may be the best choice for you. Packages afford you the peace of mind of knowing that no detail has been forgotten and save you money too.
