COVID-19 FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE
If you lost a loved one due to COVID-19 but were unable to bury the ashes or purchase a headstone, now may be the right time to do so. Starting today, April 12, 2021, FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is providing up to $9000 per victim in federal aid for funeral and burial related expenses for COVID-10 victims. Individuals can use this money to pay for burial arrangements now or apply for reimbursement for expenses already paid out of pocket. Call or email us to receive a free copy of our program overview or visit the FEMA website via the link below.
Elmhurst cemetery was established in 1908 and has been family owned and operated ever since. The cemetery consists of 90 acres of beautiful rolling hills with hundreds of trees of all different species. The owners have prided themselves on keeping meticulous records, being good stewards of the land and treating each family we serve with respect and compassion.
Central to the mission of the cemetery is to offer each family a comfortable environment and a variety of burial options at different prices. To that end, numerous improvements have been made at the cemetery over the last 12 months. The office has been remodeled, new equipment has been purchased, the chapel has been remodeled and a new columbarium installed for cremated remains. Explore the rest of our site to learn more about what we have to offer, and contact us with any questions you may have. Elmhurst Cemetery is here for you.

Thank you for visiting.
Here For You
You have the option of concluding the burial service in our beautiful and recently remodeled chapel or you may wish to accompany the casket to the graveside. Just let us or your funeral director know what you prefer.
GRAVES & MAUSOLEUM CRYPTS
Full Body Burial Options
Whether you choose a traditional in-ground burial or interment in an above ground crypt in the community mausoleum, Elmhurst Cemetery has an option that will work for you.
Cremation Graves & Niches
If cremation is your preference, you have the option of burying the ashes in a special cremation grave or placing the ashes above ground in a space (called a niche) in our new columbarium. When you visit the cemetery, we would be happy to show you each one so you can make the best choice for your particular situation.
HEADSTONES & ENGRAVING
A Personalized Tribute
Headstones are available for purchase through the cemetery office. Different sections in the cemetery allow for different types of memorials. Options include upright monuments for 2 to 8 graves or flat granite or bronze markers for 1 to 2 graves. Stop in the cemetery office when you are ready to make your headstone selection.
If there is already a headstone on the grave and you simply need the final date inscribed, we can assist with that as well. Just call or stop in at the office and we will get it taken care of.
Convenient and Cost Effective
If you prefer the convenience of working with one person for everything from the burial service to the headstone, a burial package may be the best choice for you. Packages afford you the peace of mind of knowing that no detail has been forgotten and save you money too.
Give the Gift of Planning Ahead
The death of a spouse or parent is an emotional and stressful time. You can help relieve the burden on those left behind by making your own burial arrangements in advance.
Understanding Burial Expenses
Many of the families we have assisted over the years have made mention of the fact that they had no idea about the costs involved in making burial arrangements. We want you to have a better experience. Visit our pricing guide page for an overview of the prices for the products and services offered.
